What impressions need Magee Horter & George Accoutrements?
1--Most
but not all troops supplied by the State of Louisiana.
They also produced their own at the Baton Rouge Arsenal.
accoutrements both sets and individual items.
2--Any
troops supplied from the Confederate Arsenal at Baton Rouge. Could include some early Mississippi
units. (About 3,000 sets were purchased along with leather and equipment to make distinctive Baton Rouge Arsenal accoutrements.
What impressions need Magee & George Accoutrements?
You
Need Magee & George if your unit was issued accoutrements after September 1861 when Horter left the partnership.
1--Any
troops who drew accoutrements though the Memphis, Tennessee Ordnance Depot from December 1861 thru
June 1862.
2--Every
Missouri Confederate soldier from December 1861 to March 1862.
Enough
accoutrements were purchased that every Missouri
soldier, either Confederate or State Guard could have had two sets.
