CS-7 - Shoe Documented To The Army Of Northern Virginia In 1862

This shoe is documented to the Army of Northern Virginia in 1862.  The original was a poorly designed shoe with the seam turned to the interior making a ridge against the foot and had no tongue. (Keep this in mind when ordering a pair of reproductions.) They are made of black four ounce, waxed-flesh, light  upper leather. The shoes have four eyelets. The leather is top grade and tanned to our specifications. The soles are pegged same as the originals. The heels are hand nailed with iron square cut.  They are built on copies of original lasts in our private collection that were reproduced, under contract, exclusively for Missouri Boot and Shoe Company. Like all of our footwear they are carefully patterned from original specimens and period patterns and artwork.
