Heel Rims Styles Available

Both styles of heel rims are historically accurate and help prevent wear on leather heels. But keep in mind when you order they tend to slide on modern surfaces and can scratch flooring. You can put heel rims on footwear without the hobnails but you can not put hobnails on footwear without heel rims. Keep this in mind when ordering. We are not responsible for accidents or damage if you opt to use these on your footwear. Exercise due caution when using hobnails and heel rims to avoid mishaps

HR-1

$16.00 Installed on your footwear order. The HR-1 style rim is inlet into the top layer of the heel.

Surface Mounted Heel Rims

HR-2
$8.00 Installed on your footwear order.
The HR-2 style is a typical strap metal
rim and is surface mounted on the top
layer of leather on the heel.

UN-HR-2 - Uninstalled Set Of Heel Rims

Want an extra pair of rims for an old

pair of shoes or just to have on hand?

Uninstalled HR-2. A pair of surface mounted heel rims with nails needed to attach to your heels. Please trace the heels of your old shoes so we can supply you with the closest stock size rim. You may still need to do some adjustments

to achieve a good fit. YOU MUST send tracings to purchase rims we can not guess on size.

To install you will need to either take them to a shoe repair shop for installation or have the use of a iron repair jack to properly support the shoe or boot to install the rims.

Hobnail Patterns Available

Add a hobnail pattern to your footwear.

During the Civil War they were added to footwear to provide traction on soft or rocky ground. You can put heel rims on footwear without the hobnails but you can not put hobnails on footwear without heel rims. Keep this in mind when ordering. But keep in mind when you order they tend to make footwear slide on modern surfaces and can scratch flooring. We are not responsible for accidents or damage if you opt to use these on your footwear, you do so at your own risk. Exercise due caution when using hobnails and heel rims to avoid mishaps
